How do I compress images without WordPress?

3. Download the optimized results.

Limits

Without an account, you can compress up to 10 images a day, up to 10 MB each. The count resets daily. Signing in for a free account raises the daily limit to 100; paid plans remove the daily cap.

When to use the plugin instead
